Lastres in B&W
Ochre-coloured facades, vibrant red and purple flowers on terraces, green woods with patches of orange shining in the undergrowth from the sunlight hitting the barks, bright blue skies, hazy teal mountains on the horizon and salmon-tainted sunsets - those are some of the images that come to mind when I think about Lastres.
There is, however, another side to this place which only comes alive once you drain it of its colours. Night scenes find their meaning and become more true to what I saw in the moment, the beach - although shot in plain daylight - reveals its layers and textures more clearly and even street snapshots unveil an unexpected, grungy side of the town.
